Park Road Cemetery, Park Road, Cheadle, SK8 2AN

Opened in 1903, Park Road Cemetery is laid out in a traditional grid pattern with more than 50 burial sections, mostly laid to lawn. The cemetery has many fine specimen and mature trees complemented by formal gardens at the main entrance containing memorial rose trees. The site has benefited recently from improved grounds maintenance programmes and large-scale tree and shrub work to increase the feeling of light and space.

Many old headstones have been reinstated after being laid down for safety purposes and large sections of the perimeter fence have been replaced. FOSC have installed and maintain a number of planters which are regularly replenished with a range of flowers and bedding plants.

There are specific areas for the interment of those of the Jewish and Muslim faiths but there are no new graves available for other faiths at Park Road Cemetery.

Please note there are no public toilet facilities available in this cemetery. Public toilets may sometimes be available in the adjacent Jubilee Park during Monday to Friday but the toilets may be locked at weekends and Bank Holidays and occasionally during weekdays.

The cemetery grounds are open every day including Bank Holidays until dusk.
